Great place for small private functions. Dined here several times now and always enjoy returning.
Went again Sunday - pub menu. Again, all the food was good, prices certainly fair. Since the place was packed (6:30 Sunday PM), they apologized a couple times for the delays and relatively slow service (Sunday before, they had 2 customers, this night, they had at least 25+). No biggee - salad was fresh, pizza was good, burger was good. Everything we had, the quality of the ingredients was top notch. We left satisfied and happy.
We went for dinner and had a good meal. The owner was our server and did a good job. All the food was good. One person in our party had to send the salmon back a couple times to get to cooked longer. I had the trout with crabmeat on top and really enjoyed it.
Ate there Saturday, dinner menu. I had the sirloin steak - it was done correctly (note: i showed a picture of what I wanted, and they called it Med-Rare, most places would call it rare. Make sure you describe how much red / pink you want). Anyway, sirloin was thick, zero fat, cooked right, and delicious. Asparagus was sauteed and not mushy. Cheese plate was a great appetizer. Chocolate caramel cake desert was big, not too sweet, and very very good. Good enough selection of wine varieties. Everything was fairly priced - I thought it very good value.
This place is amazing. I don't understand the negative reviews at all. The cabin is very spacious, cozy, and really nice. We were able to cook all our meals between the fully stocked kitchen/gas grill outside. It was about a 40 min drive to snowshoe each day, but much more affordable than staying on the mountain! Can't say enough good things about this place. If you are considering staying here you should go for it.
I sure we will go back and eat there again.
Really enjoyed our weekend stay here! The breakfast was great both days - fresh fruit, french toast, blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausages, whipped cream - all home made and served on Fiestaware (no paper plates here!). The suite was clean and comfortable. We ate dinner here one evening and again the food was delicious. They do make you feel so welcome and we will definitely stay here the next time we are in town!
