This place was simply amazing! The stay, the meals, the environment, the activities.. Simply incredible! Ann and Mark are wonderful people and were great to chat with. Coming here gave me the opportunity to experience a new state, the mountains, and the overall change of scenery. The lodge was so comfortable and it felt so "homey". Thank you for all of your hard work and kindness. I am most definitely making this a vacation spot.
Quaint facilities with a rustic theme. The fishing was fantastic, my guide (Mark) was phenomenal. Friendly and approachable would be an understatement. It was like fishing with a friend. His knowledge of the waters and his fishing tips were greatly appreciated and came at just the right times.

Knapp's Creek Trout Lodge is a home away from home. It's in a beautiful location right on Knapp's Creek in a quiet neighborhood in Marlinton. The owners are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. My bed was comfortable, the river lulled me to sleep at night, and coffee on the back porch in the morning was the perfect way to start the day. It's a relatively short (and beautiful) drive from Richmond, Charlottesville, Roanoke and other Virginia cities. I you have any questions about specifics I would reach out to the business owners and they seem really flexible.
Anyone who doesn't consider fishing with Knapps Creek trout lodge is missing out on a wonderful experience.
Attentive hosts with a clean, well-appointed lodge on a lovely stretch of a prime trout stream--what's not to like? Roll out of bed and catch nice rainbows and browns right there, or let them guide you in the dozens of nearby wilder streams.
The provided meals and coffee/sodas were amazing and the portions were perfect.
