There is no visitor’s center, no refreshment stand, and only one uni-sex toilet swarming with flies that reeked beyond words.

Absolutely beautiful! This natural area consists of a boardwalk that winds through massive rock formations. It is so peaceful! A wonderful break from our fast paced world.

About 45 minutes from The Greenbrier Resort, this is another must-see state park, albeit the main attraction - the boardwalk twisting through the rock formations and wooded area - will take you no more than 30 minutes tops to make it through the entire circuit, even at a slow pace. Only a small portion is HC accessible since this course winds up and down and through a lot of woods and steep hills.

Lots of picture opportunities here of nature at its weirdest and most wonderful deep in the woods in WV.

Great state park off the beaten path:

Amazing! Just can't imagine how they constructed the extensive boardwalk in and around the rocks. It's a beautiful and unusual area.

The road leading in is quite narrow. There’s limited parking, so if it’s real busy you may have to run over to Droop Mountain Battleground State Park (10 minutes away) or the wonderful Pearl S. Buck Birthplace Museum home (17 minutes) in Hillsboro and come back.

Not crowded and very impressive rock formations. Quite and easy walking on board walk so you can look around and have to watch your step all the time

This place is a great for spending an hour or two. There are walking trails through very unique rock formations. I would best describe as a cave without a roof. Everything is above ground but the rock formations feel like they'd fit better underground. Nice views. Nothing else I've encountered that looks like this. If you are in the area, it's definitely worth a visit.
