Not only is this a beautiful place in the Pocahontas County area, but it is a wonderful place to get plugged in to area ministries. The owners of the campground are very welcoming and accommodating. We have stayed in the motel units while serving with our church. Additionally, we have stayed in cabin units for a week at a time to enable us to visit the area.
Lead a group of men from FBC of Aurantia on a mission trip and we stayed here. It was a great bonding event. This is a great place to "go to the quiet" in order to hear the still small voice of God to speak peace and truth into your heart. A great place to get away from the noise.
Spent two days here while traveling through the area, sure wish I could have stayed longer. The motel unit was very comfortable and with the use of the wifi cafe and its coffee, tea and cocoa I found Eaden in the Alleghenies to be the perfect home base for sight seeing.
Had a great time staying here with our family during a mission trip! The 'motel' rooms are clean and comfortable, and the dining hall and game room are just right for winding down after a long day. We will be back!
Elisabeth is quite the host! Her crash pads are great for those on the run and need a comfy place to rest their heads for a short time or a minimalist that wants some peace and quiet. She also has cabins for those weekend, week, or month long stays should you be so inclined. There is a rec room and a cafe that is being made/is available for guests free of charge. There might even be a small gift shop. She informed us that she will be keeping the place open year round! So if you need somewhere close to Snowshoe while skiing or somewhere in the summer when kayaking, this is the place for you. We will certainly be returning!
